How are you living your “Ideal Life”?
One day at a time to the fullest. Living, Laughing and enjoying any and everything that comes my way by “Trusting and believing that GOD won’t ever lead or guide me to a dead end road”. Focusing on the important things in life by surrounding myself with positive, honest, people who respect and love me.
Describe your journey
My journey has had some ups and downs, but I Thank God for his deliverance in all that I’ve endured during my journey. God blessed me with my soulmate and our desire was to begin our journey to live life to the fullest by traveling and seeing the world. However, shortly after, we hit a bump in the road. My soulmate’s health took a serious for the worse and he was in CICU for over a week which seemed like eternity. I found myself questioning everything and I asked GOD “Why me?” At that point God spoke to me and said “Why not you”. I’ve always had a lot of faith and have been the backbone for my family. I spend all my time trying to solve my family and friends problems that I thought I was excluded from trials and tribulations myself. I know that I’ve become better and stronger every day because of my journey.
What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned?
That life is not always going to be perfect. I learned it’s OK to lean on others when crisis comes your way. I’ve learned to be obedient to God’s plan and be grateful for EVERY moment. I know that GOD will lead and guide me on the right path and I know that I will always win this battle.
What challenges did you have to overcome?
Accepting that it’s ok to lean on others. I had to trust and believe that I can and will succeed even when the world tells me it’s not going to happen. I use the CAN theory before I spell out I Can’t I stop at “N” because I CAN do all things through Christ which strengths me. Mark 11:24. I try to live by the quote,“There are no negatives in life, only challenges to overcome that will make you stronger.” by Eric Bates
What is your morning routine?
I have a PAT routine. Pray daily, Accept any all challenges and Trust that God will lead and guide me to making the right choices.
What motivates you?
My family motivates me. A supportive husband who lets me be me and to know me that’s saying a lot. My daughter who is truly a blessing from GOD and my #1 motivator that inspired me to become a better person. My daughter inspired my husband and I to go back to school and Glory to God we both have earned additional degrees. Last but not least my 3 beautiful grandchildren that remind me daily that’s it’s all worth it. I count it all a joy to be a part of their lives and see them grow up. I’m amazed at their busy little lives, how much they’re involved in church, dance, sports and their community.
What would you share with those aspiring to create and live their “Ideal Life”?
Accept who you are and strive to be the Best at all that you do. Don’t get caught up on what happened yesterday or the day before, live for that moment. Set life commandments. Stop putting things on hold. Do the things your LOVE that make you Happy. Deuteronomy 31. The secret to my happiness is the acceptance of myself. “Life is all about the journey and less about the destination”.
You’re never too old to fulfill your dreams
What’s next for you?
Embracing my uncertainty to find greater clarity.
